Design Research focused on the end user

Design Research plays a key role in refining existing products and services and designing entirely new business models. Design Research reveals the underlying and sometimes hidden needs and goals of the end user.

Design Research is both iterative and cyclical: the results serve as tangible input for the next step in the innovation and development process: from problem fit to solution fit and market fit.

Design Research

We distinguish four types of Design Research:

  • Fundamental: generic tools for the development process, such as personas
  • Explorative: exploring the job-to-be-done and hidden needs
  • Ideating: designing solutions together for maximum value creation
  • Validating: testing solutions with the end user

Our tools
